Halle Bailey, who will play Ariel in the subsequent live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid, has now shared her thoughts on why she concealed her pregnancy for such a long time. “It was important to me to keep this special time in my life private,” Bailey stated. “I’m a very private person, and I wanted to enjoy this experience with my family and friends without the pressure of the public eye.”
Bailey added that she was worried about how her pregnancy would be portrayed in the media. “I’ve seen how the media can sometimes be very negative and intrusive,” she said.”I didn’t want to deal with that kind of scrutiny during such a special time in my life.”
